The Team Behind Canine Kindness

I'm Laura, founder of Canine Kindness...

...and passionate about animals! I am qualified and experienced, always seeking new knowledge to enhance the well-being of the dogs I come across and to provide you with outstanding dog training services.

Currently, I am a student at The Academy for Dog Trainers, having graduated from my first intensive course in animal behaviour in 2015. Since then, I have been diligently attending various conferences and workshops led by renowned experts, covering diverse topics on canine behaviour. I also have a soft spot for cats and horses, which hold a significant place in my life.

My dedication to animals extends beyond behaviour; it is essential for me to improve their quality of life. That's why I have been volunteering at the SPCA of Montreal since 2015 and started to work there as a behaviour evaluator in 2016. I now am an animal welfare manager for the behaviour department.

I'm Maëlle!

I've been a canine behaviourist for 2 years now. I graduated from the very first cohort of EPICC training in 2023 with a mention for excellence. I love farm animals and exotic pets, but it's obviously dogs that have won my heart.

I started at the Montreal SPCA in 2019 as an adoption counsellor and quickly fell in love with the behavioural aspect of the job. Since 2021, I have held the position of Animal Behavior Evaluator. I'm thrilled to be part of the Bonté Canine team!

I look forward to working with you and your furry companion!

My atypical journey began in 2017 at the Montreal SPCA. Indeed, first captivated by human psychology during my university studies, my passion took a turn toward animal behavior during my volunteer work at the shelter. Since then, I've been deeply involved in the world of animal welfare, and this has led me to my current position at the SPCA as a Behavior Specialist.

In my quest for the best training in the field, I studied at the prestigious Academy for Dog Trainers for just over 2 years, graduating with honors. In the unregulated industry of dog training, I attach great importance to continuing my education, so as to always use up-to-date, science-based methods.

I'm Josine!

I work with Laura on the management, administration and, above all, accounting aspects of her business. In short, all the aspects that animal behaviorists find flat and tedious, but I love it!

My clients are mainly small businesses or self-employed dog behaviorists for whom I take care of their accounting and payroll, and to whom I give administrative and management advice.

But I'm no stranger to the world of animal behavior myself. I'm vice-president of Éduchateur (, a firm of cat behaviorists. Daniel Filion, the founder of Éduchateur whom everyone knows, is my husband! Yes, it's a small world!

Need accounting help? or! We look forward to working with you!
